Hello to all our new pupils and families!
This page is just for you ♥
Our community of parents and families enthusiastically supports our school, the pupils and each other and we’re glad to have you with us
There’s a lot to take in when you’re starting a new school so the Parents Association (PA) have pulled together some information from a parent perspective which we hope is helpful
And we’ve created a Welcome Newsletter with key dates which you can download for printing (and sticking on the fridge)
We hope you enjoy browsing the page and if you have any questions please drop us an email
We’d love to hear from you!
Getting started at Bolingbroke
-
Starting your first day in year 7
It’s an exciting and emotional day for all so have your camera ready! In good weather, the children will line up on Wandsworth Common opposite school to be registered into their house. If the weather is poor they will go straight into school.
Gates close at 08.47 and pupils will be dismissed at 15.35. Times of the day are on the Parent Hub.
You should have received information on times and dates for the first day. If you haven’t received the information you need to email school.
-
Parent Hub and Handbook
The Parent Hub on the Bolingbroke Academy website the first place to go with questions about how the school works.
It contains a Parent Handbook with most of the information you will need day-to-day like term dates, times of the day, contact information and school rules and policies.

Term dates
These are posted on the school website here: School Calendar. Please note there are a number of inset / staff training days which fall outside of normal holidays when school will be closed.
The right uniform is very important! Information is on the school website here. The official supplier is Khalsa Schoolwear and you can buy pre-loved uniform from the Parents Association by emailing us. We usually run sales in July which will be publicised to new parents.

The PA have sourced top-quality stationery, water bottles and the essential scientific calculator to equip your child for life at secondary school and save you time and money. These can be bought in sets or as single items at uniform sales and welcome meetings.
Online sales are currently not available but will be open again before the new school year.

Join the WhatsApp group for your year by emailing us.

Enterprise Competition
Our first ever Bolingbroke Enterprise Competition in 2023 was a brilliant success. Pupils set up real-life small businesses and sold their products to neighbours, friends and the general public.
We’d love to make this an annual event and are looking for parents in year 7, 8 & 9 who can help organise the competition in the coming year.
It is a great fun and rewarding way to get to know our school and only requires a few hours of commitment. If you’d like to get involved please email us.
